Launching new products, solving customers’ database problems and hitting the media headlines. It’s been an incredibly busy and successful year for SQLTreeo. Here’s a brief round up of what’s been happening in 2019 and some of our plans for next year.
Earlier in the year we launched our SQL server desired state configurator tool. This gives DBA’s and DevOps complete control over SQL server configuration and saves significant installation and deployment time. We’re delighted to say that we’ve had lots of interest and we’re now giving our customers support and on-going technical expertise to understand exactly how to make the most of the tool and meet their individual business needs.
We’re never happier than when we’re diving into and solving complex database problems and this has certainly kept us busy throughout 2019.
We’ve been trouble-shooting a huge variety of database issues; from solving human errors that resulted in unexpected changes to sensitive data, to finding ways to boost database performance. We know that when businesses struggle with performance issues at the front end, such as an ecommerce site, it’s often down to problems with the underlying database. In most of these cases, we can fine-tune the database to deliver better performance and business results.
We were also pleasantly surprised with the amount of media coverage we’ve received this year. It’s not something we’ve focused on in the past, but this year we’ve featured in several business magazines and loved having the opportunity to explain the importance of effective database management and data security. We even made our first TV appearance, which was great fun.
Developing strong partnerships
Business and IT environments are now so complex; companies find it impossible to be experts in all areas. We’re convinced that the way forward is to work together with trusted partners so we’ve established two such business partnerships this year with managed services provider, Denit and Nextel / Telenet. We’re already finding that our end customers are benefiting from our combined areas of expertise and experience in particular IT environments. We’ll be looking to develop more mutually beneficial business partnerships next year.
We’re already looking forward to launching some exciting new tools, which are currently in development and we’ll be able to tell you more about that in the New Year. Customer feedback has convinced us that data security is set to be an even higher priority for many businesses. With that in mind, we have invested considerable time in developing our expertise in the new SQL security features and look forward to sharing that knowledge with our customers throughout next year.
